  • Ash Wednesday schedule and Lenten activities
Lent begins on Wednesday, Feb.10. There will be distribution of ashes at the two Masses scheduled for that day which will be at 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Season of Lent, which is a time for penance, fasting and prayer. Ash Wednesday starts 46 days before Easter Sunday.
Stations of the Cross-Please join us to walk the road to Calvary with Jesus on the Fridays of Lent at 7 p.m. This is a beautiful devotion to Our Lord. Volunteers are needed to assist Father during the Stations.
Lenten reflection series—Enrich your Lenten experience this year by joining your fellow parishioners in a Lenten reflection series. Our time spent together  will focus on the Gospels proclaimed during Lent through prayer and faith-sharing every Friday after Stations in the New Hall.

  • Martha and Mary Ministry will help parishioners
Do you know of someone who is homebound, in a nursing home or hospitalized and they and their family would welcome a visit or even a cooked meal?
Providing assistance is the mission of the new Martha and Mary Ministry, which has been organized by the   parishioners for the parishioners. It serves to meet the needs of the parish and foster a sense of parish community. Please call the parish office at 724-745-3531 to  provide this information to this outreach ministry. Also call if you would like to help.

  • Personal care items collection ends this weekend
The Christian Mothers and Altar Society will have the annual collection of personal care items for the Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern PA, (formerly known as the Washington County Women’s Shelter), through Feb. 7.

New items such as full-size shampoo, soap, toiletries, socks and undergarments are always needed.  Children’s books, crayons, markers, socks and undergarments are also needed. Please bring in your donations and place them in the basket designated for the shelter.  Thank you and God bless you for your caring and generosity.

  • Special Collection for Homeless Feb. 6 & 7
On Saturday, Feb. 6 and Sunday, Feb. 7, parishes will be collecting donations to assist the homeless. The Holy Rosary Youth Group has decided to donate the funds to the Washington City Mission.
The youth group will be at the church doors to collect for this cause. Please be as generous as possible. If you have any questions, contact Suzanne and Don Campbell (724-746-0420), Pat and Cherryl Fitch (724-746-3035)  or Sue and Andy Harouse (724-745-5892).
